‘The Muppets’ Movie Review
Rotten Tomatoes: Critics 97%, Audience 92%
I thought the movie was awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I laughed throughout the entire movie, and I laughed harder than the kids in the audience. (I’m a kid a heart).
The Plot: Essentially, Kermit is getting the old gang back together again, so they can save The Muppet’s studio from a greedy business tycoon. For more than that, you can go here: http://blogs.indiewire.com/leonardmaltin/the-muppetsmovie-review
Jason Segel & Amy Adams’ performance: Both did an excellent job. The lip sinking was a bit off, but that just added to the hilarity of the movie.
Funny: Loved seeing the cameos; that was a special treat.
Funnier: 80’s nostalgia
Funniest: Seeing what The Muppets have been up to these last several decades, especially Animal, Fozzie Bear, and Scooter.
Sweet: Seeing Miss Piggy and Kermit reunite.
Song & dance: I enjoyed all the songs in the movie; there were some current selections and some old favorites. It’s cool and very funny at times, but I will give nothing away here—I want you to be pleasantly surprised.
The movie had those heart-felt messages we all love:
– “Just because you haven’t found your talent doesn’t mean you don’t have one.”
– “Sooner or later you have to believe in yourself. That’s what growing up is all about, becoming who you want to be.”
